The daughter of Claude William Swing and Gladys McCorkle Swing, she was a graduate of Paw Creek High School and Kings Business College. Julia worked in the accounting department of Southern Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of West Gate Chapter No. 343 OES and Charlotte Gem and Mineral Club.
Julie is survived by her daughter Phyllis Clark Kerley (Alan); grandchildren Chase Kerley (Ashley), Dane Kerley , Samantha Clark Kern and Lauren Clark Kiltsch; stepsons Rickie (Stephanie) and Barry Clark and step-daughter Debbie Clark Elliotte and great grandchildren Anna Kerley; Price Kerley and Laura Marin.
Mrs. Clark was predeceased by her parents, husbands William Edward Clark and Andrew Barry Clark; siblings Lorene Swing Eury, Hazel Swing Christenbury, Faye Swing Houser, Vernell Swing Lowery and William Claude Swing, stepdaughters Carolyn and Vickie Clark and grandson Andy Clark.
The family will greet friends at 2pm on Sunday, July 7 2019 at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church located at 6701 Pleasant Grove Road in Charlotte prior to the 3pm funeral service. Burial will immediately follow at Moores Chapel Cemetery located at 10601 Moores Chapel Road in Charlotte.
