Judy Dill Shaw

Judy Dill Shaw, 74, of Charlotte, NC passed away August 22, 2016 peacefully at home. Judy was born March 9, 1942 in Greer, SC. She is preceded in death by her mother Mildred and step-father Lon Ivie; her father Hendrix Dill; first husband Edwin Smith; step-son Blake Shaw, and her three fur friends, Raggs, Annie and Happy. Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 31 years, Lawrence and his children Lawrence Jr. and his wife Karen and their children Avery and Julia of Charlotte, NC and his son John and his wife Wanda of Lake Wylie, SC; nephew Butch Shaw and his wife Sonya; Uncle William (Sonny) Benson of Lyman, SC; Aunt Helen Robinson of Simpsonville, SC; sister-in-law Camilla; brother-in-law William (Bill) of Pawley’s Island, SC; niece Nancy Shaw; best friend Jane and her husband Chuck Myers and their doggie Skippy of Charlotte, NC; other family in SC; dear friends and neighbors. Judy was an avid reader, loved making greeting cards, taking pictures of friends, pets and flowers, enjoyed cooking, entertaining, shopping for bargains and fashion. She was always “dressed to the nines” even though she might not be going anywhere that day. There will be no formal service. Judy’s ashes will be scattered along with the ashes of her precious doggies. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Charlotte, 1420 E. 7th Street or to the charity of your choice.
