Judy graduated from Garinger High School in 1976 and married the love of her life, Mickey, on December 4, 1976. She started her early career in healthcare at CMC Main in Charlotte before working at Northside Baptist Church daycare. After having children, she became a homemaker before returning to Northside as a school cafeteria worker where she made many long-lasting relationships with co-workers and students.
Judy attended Northside Baptist Church her entire life. Throughout her years at Northside, she continually served others while volunteering for various ministries. Her love for the Lord was made evident by her passion to support missionaries, serve the senior adult ministry, and work with kids in Awana. She always looked forward to fellowship with her life-long friends during Sunday school and church events.
Judy loved being involved in numerous programs throughout her life. From being cheerleading captain in high school, to being a room mom for both of her kids throughout school, to helping run the NCA booster club, she always gave 100% to make sure anything she was involved in turned out the best. Judy never missed one of her kids’ sports games and was always heard cheering on the sidelines. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach with family and friends, shopping for a good deal, cooking, visiting loved ones, sitting on the front porch waiving at neighbors, and spoiling her grandkids.
Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memories and kindness will live in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be held at Northside Baptist Church on Saturday, April 12, from 12:00-1:30 PM with funeral service to follow. A graveside will be held at Charlotte Memorial Gardens following the service. Judy loved vibrant colors and always had the wish for everyone to wear them at her celebration of life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all donations be sent to Northside Baptist Church Grace Giving Fund.
