Long (wife Rebecca), by her “like a daughter,” Kristin Long (husband Scott), her grandchildren, Connor Long, Emily Long, Grant Long, Davis Long, and Evan Long, and her sister, Mary Beth Lamble Woehler. Judy graduated from Mater Dei High School in Evansville, IN, and then went on to graduate from Indiana University School of Nursing class of 1962. She was a dedicated, loving pediatric nurse in Rockville, MD for many years. In 1986, she gave up nursing to become an entrepreneur. She started House Helpers, a home cleaning service. Judy was passionate about cleaning and took a lot of pride in her work. She hired a great team and her business flourished. In 1999, she sold her business and retired in Charlotte, NC. Although she was retired, she quickly took on clients in NC and started working again. Her energy and endurance were amazing.
Judy was a proud mother and a devoted grandmother. Judy was loved by everyone who knew her. She had a very kind heart, was nice to everyone, and eager to help those in need. She loved God and was an active member of Aspen Hill Christian Church in Silver Spring, MD and then at SouthPark Christian Church in Charlotte, NC. For many years, she was in charge of the annual church attic sale at SouthPark Christian Church. She tirelessly and enthusiastically volunteered her time in energy to ensure that the attic sale was a success every year. Over the last 5 years, she started attending Forest Hill Church with her family.
Judy loved her grandchildren dearly and made them her first priority. She spent many hours driving them to lessons, practices, friend’s houses and anywhere they needed to go. She attended most of their swim meets, games, tournaments, award ceremonies, graduations, etc. and was supportive in all their endeavors. She will always have a special place in their hearts.
Judy will be deeply missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. In the hearts of those who loved you, you will always be there.
