Joyce Smith

Joyce Bernice Horn, first born child of Grace Celeste and Raleigh Jackson Horn of Toledo, Ohio, is preceded by her parents, her sister, Stella, and her brothers John, Dennis, Ken, and Dale. Her brother Raleigh Jackson Horn II and her sisters, Lorene, Carol, Diane, Lora and Linda are left with many loving memories of their beloved big sister, Joyce.

Her husband, Don R Smith, and their children, Don L Smith and Carrie Smith (Jackson), enjoyed many happy years together traveling the country, growing church families and experiencing life as a unique adventure. Memories of times together will be held ever close in their hearts.

A homemaker extraordinaire, Joyce was a fierce mother, a talented seamstress and an avid cook. Her commitment to home and family is to be admired by all. Even as she became a very successful entrepreneur and independent business woman, she continued to put family first.

The depths of care for her family extends to and embraces her extended family, daughter-in-law, Jacque Smith, son-in-law, David Jackson, her grandchildren, Dustin (Sabrina), Matt (Amanda), Hayley (Spencer), Colby, Anna (Chris), Abbi, Carson, and her growing family of great-grandchildren.

Although she will be dearly missed, her unwavering faith, her dedication to family, home and hard work, will continue to serve as an example for generations to come.
