Joyce Holt Reid

She was born in Charlotte, NC on December 26, 1945. Joyce graduated from Garinger High School and later retired from Metromont Materials after 32 years.

She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and had a passion for reading and Jesus Christ.

Mrs. Reid was survived by her husband of 30 years, Joe Katon Reid; children, Michael Vann Holt, Jr., Mitchell Vaughn Holt and wife Amber Rachel Holt, Karyn Holt Drake and husband Reggie Drake; grandchildren, Michael Ryan Holt and wife Kelli Solomon Holt, Brenna Le-an Holt, Kyle Hunter Goettig, Alexander Zane Benitez, Madison Nowell Benitez and Briggs Katon Holt; siblings, Rachel Martin and husband Tom Martin, Ruby Long and husband Al Long, Kenneth Starnes, Frieda Whitley, Fran Howie and husband Bobby Howie and her loving nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Hopewell Baptist Church – Legacy Campus, 420 Hopewell Church Road, Monroe, NC 28110. A memorial service will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
