

Joseph William Molner died peacefully at rest on May 30, 2015 at the age of 91. He was born in Lakewood, Ohio on September 30, 1923 and in 1944 married the late Marie Therese Molner his loving wife for 55 years. He is survived by his children Denis, Phillip, Susan, Greg and Sandra along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joseph served in the Army Air Corps as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. After the war he was a highly motivated self taught engineer who started Cleveland Beacon Products Co. in Cleveland, Ohio and developed many material handling systems for the manufacturing and space industry that are still in place throughout the United States. After moving to Charlotte, NC with his wife in 1979 he worked in land development and the home building industry with his son Phillip in their company Viking Enterprises. He was a member of Carmel Country Club from 1979 and enjoyed golf and travel with his wife to many destinations around the world. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren leaving many wonderful memories. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Matthews Catholic Church Chapel 8015 Ballantyne Common Pkwy., Charlotte, NC beginning at 11AM on Saturday June 6, 2015.
