Jonell Kinsey Kellams

On Wednesday, June 29, 2011, our Mother went to be with Jesus. Mama went to sleep and woke up in heaven.

Born April 30, 1925 in Charlotte, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Conley O. Brooks and Amanda Warren Brooks. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Faye Kinsey and her husband of nearly 50 years, Harold Kellams.

Left to cherish her memory are children, C. Ralph Kinsey, Jr. and wife, Sylvia; Aloma Kinsey Kirby, whom Mom called 'Sissy', and a step-son, Harold Kellams and wife, Donna of Spokane, WA; grandchildren: Glenn Edward Kirby, Jr. and fiancee, MaryAnn Romo; Charles Ralph Kinsey, III, David Keith Kinsey and Betsy Kinsey Muse; great-grandchildren: Cooper Lee Kinsey, Katie Muse and Emily Muse; a twin sister, Mozelle Rowell of Indian Trail and several nieces and nephews.

The Kellams family will greet friends Sunday, July 10th, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum. A service to celebrate her life will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel with The Reverend Leland K. Stephens officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum.

The family would like to thank her caregiver, Lauran Brown for all her tender loving care. Momma's loving pet, Precious, will go to live with Sissy.

We thank God for Mama and we will miss her so very much, but we know she is in a happy place. Now you are home, Mama.
