John Thomas White

John Thomas White, age 67 of Charlotte, beloved husband of Dale White, passed away November 20, 2015. Born in Miami, FL on March 3, 1948, he was the son of the late Harry Joseph and Nathalee (Mullis) White, Jr.

Mr. White was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era who achieved a rank of E7. He later was employed by the City of Charlotte as a firefighter and eventually retired as a Captain after serving for many years. During his lifetime he also worked as an electrical contractor for many years.

Besides his wife Dale, he is survived by 3 children; John T. White, Jr. of Charlotte, Tracy E. Barrow(Andy) of Summerfield, NC and Bob E. Munday(Margo) of Arlington, WA. 2 brothers; Harry L. White(Nancy) of Schenectady, NY and Raymond H. White of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by grandchildren; Aaron, Bradley, Nick, Ania, Trey and Levi.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, 1:00 PM at Oakdale Baptist Church, 6440 Pleasant Grove Rd., Charlotte, NC. Interment will be private at a later date.
