John Earl Ryan

Born in Miami, FL on November 22, 1954, he was a son of the late John Joseph Ryan and Jean Overstreet Ryan.

Jack graduated from East Mecklenburg High School and lived and worked in many different cities over the years including Cincinnati, OH and Louisville, KY, but called Charlotte his home, where he lived for the past 20 years.

Jack had a great love for cooking for friends and family and shared his culinary talents with them. He was the manager of several restaurants throughout the years.

He also had a heart for animals and loved listening to music, especially with his only son, Jack Jr.

Jack is predeceased by his parents and brothers, Jeff and Jim Ryan. Survivors include his son John “Jack” Jr. and his fiance’, Kayla of Cincinnati, Ohio and a sister, Janet and her husband, Tom Green of Raleigh, NC.

Memorial services are planned for 2 pm Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte, NC.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
