He was born September 29, 1924 in Palmetto, GA. Hugh retired from GM-Chevrolet Division after 30 years of service. His wife Doris predeceased him in 1990.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Cathey and Calvin "Rip" Winfield; grandson, Michael Winfield; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, David and Marketa Winfield; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Jacob Winfield; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Thelma Jackson; sister-in-law, Frances Tevepaugh; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 3:00p.m., Friday, July 23 at Skyland UMC in Atlanta. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
