John Albert Davis

John Albert Davis, Sr. CHARLOTTE - John Albert Davis, Sr., 75, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully at home on October 24, 2014. John was one of the original members of the Sharon Volunteer Fire Department and was a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award. He was retired from the City of Charlotte. John served as both Elder and Deacon at Sharon Presbyterian Church. He was an avid striper fisherman and golfer. John is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 58 years, Patricia Davis; daughter, Sheryl Davis (Andrew) Woodard; son, Jay Davis; grandson, Robby Woodard; sisters, Betty (Robert) Lee, Catherine (Joe) Burris; sister-in-law Sandra (Jack) Hardy and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 27, at 2:00 pm at Sharon Presbyterian Church, 5201 Sharon Rd., Charlotte followed by burial at the church cemetery and a reception to follow.
