Born June 29, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA, Mr. Borum served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and later attended the University of Virginia, graduating in 1951. He was a faithful member of Carmel Baptist Church, and is remembered for his love for his dogs, as well as his passion for working out at the Harris Y.
Mr. Borum is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lou Wood Borum; three children, Janet Gaston (John), John R. Borum III, and Jerri Borum; as well as his grandchildren, Catherine, Sarah and John Servati.
A service to celebrate Mr. Borum’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 19th in the chapel of Harry & Bryant Co.
