Mrs. Joan T. Jackson

Mrs. Joan Tarleton JacksonMrs. Jackson, 65, of Charlotte passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at her residence. She was born January 29, 1945 in Monroe, North Carolina the daughter of the late John Frank Tarleton and Virginia Baucom Tarleton. Joan loved animals, and enjoyed gardening, cooking and bird watching. She was well known for her huge heart, loving spirit, and giving nature. She derived much joy from being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Joan worked in the insurance industry for Kemper Insurance Company and later retired from Amerisure Insurance Company. Surviving are her loving husband of 31 years, Andrew “Andy” W. Jackson, Jr.; son Jonathan Lee Jackson and wife Lori; grandson, Jonas William Jackson; brothers, Larry Tarleton, Leslie Tarlton (Mandy), Dale Tarleton (Angel), and Phillip Tarleton (Vickie); sisters, Lucy Armstrong and Anita Dunn (Bill); and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210.A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at McEwen Pineville Chapel. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
