Squeak graduated from West Mecklenburg High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. He loved his family, flag and country.
After serving in the military he worked as store manager for Lowe’s home improvement company before going into dry wall sales.
Squeak loved sales, his customers and the people that he worked for. He was a devoted husband, father and loved taking care of his family.
Squeak loved to walk, especially with his dog “Millie”. Everyone in the community knew him as he would salute everyone that passed as he walked.
Squeak was preceded in death by his son Kent Gibson. He is survived by his loving wife Betty Helms Gibson; son Michael Gibson; stepson Scott (Kim) Freeman; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his loyal companion Millie.
Visitation will take place at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte on Thursday, May 16, 2019 beginning at 1pm. Funeral Service will follow at 2pm. Entombment will take place at Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Baptist Church, 644 Edgemont Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
Arrangements are under the care of McEwen Funeral Services at Sharon Memorial Park.
