Jeffrey Wayne Morris

He fought a brief but very tough battle with cancer but passed in peace surrounded by his family and under the care of hospice.

He was a son, a brother, a father, a grandfather, a step-father and a step-grandfather. A seemingly

gruff exterior masked a huge, tender and loving heart. He helped and supported family, friends,

and neighbors throughout his life. Whether you asked or not, he was there to help and never

asked for anything for himself. Bright, sensitive, thoughtful, and true to his Scotts-Irish heritage,

stubborn almost to a fault. The physical presence of this humble man will be missed by many,

but the memories of his warmth, love of family, and kindness will long survive.

He was a committed hard worker in every job that he held. He had careers at Bigger Brothers Food Distribution, Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, Bottomley Enterprises, Online Transport and Harris Teeter.

He was the son of the late Romie and Georgia Morris, born on March 28, 1956 in St. Albans, West Virginia. He was survived by his companion, Lisa Manley; two children, Scott Morris and Summer Smith; stepdaughter Amber Hester; beloved grandchildren Sarah, Natalie and Jacob; siblings, Sandra Roth, Steve Morris, Jerry Morris and Rodney Morris.

A Visitation will be Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 6 - 9 pm, and Funeral Service will be held Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 2 pm, at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210

As a past member of the Charlotte H.O.G Chapter, there will be a Chapter Honor Ride Sunday, June 2 beginning at 12:45 pm at Independence Harley Davidson, Matthews, NC and departing for McEwen Pineville Chapel at 1:15pm. Organized by Vince Minnano, the ride will be lead by Tom Knowles. Participants should wear biker attire and colors.

Following the service, riders are welcome to accompany Jeff to the crematory, 5400 Monroe Rd., Charlotte NC 28212.
