Jeffrey was born on June 10, 1966 in Chester, South Carolina to the late Ernest and Doris Clifton.
Jeffrey was a loving man, in his earlier years he met his wife Ernestine and the two remained married for 17 years. Jeffrey was also a hardworking man, a “jack of all trades” as some would call him. He spent most of his career working for Fuji Photo Films as a manufacturer. When Jeffrey wasn’t working he loved to travel and to spend to time with his family and friends. Jeffrey was also an avid sports fan, he was known for being a TRUE Dallas Cowboys fan.
Jeffrey was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Doris Clifton; brother, Ernest Clifton Jr.; and sisters, Betty Hall, Deloris Strong, and Debra Clifton.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife, Ernestine Clifton; 5 children, Damareo McCrorey (Cynthia), Marquita Moore (Eric), Janell Clifton, Zahara Clifton, and Geoffrey Clifton; 5 grandchildren, Jakobe Clifton, Ja’Kaylah Clifton, Amira Moore, Dionte Epps, and Damari Hargrove; 5 siblings, Brenda Howze, Nadine Bishop (Ricky), Curtis Clifton (Earnestine), Carolyn Isom (Johnny), and Karen Clifton; as well as many other family members and friends.
A visitation for Jeffrey will be held Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28262. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 6, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 6300 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28262. A committal service will occur Monday, March 6, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at gethsemane cemetery and memory gardens, 1504 W Sugar Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28262.
