Mrs. Marshall, 92, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2015 at The Cypress in Charlotte. She was born December 1, 1922 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BS degree in Home Economics.
Jean was multi-talented and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She always had a twinkle in her eye, a quick wit and a smile on her face.
She knew a Singer sewing machine like the back of her hand, cooked like a trained chef, refinished furniture like a professional and was the epitome of a southern hostess.
Jean was predeceased by her husband, Charles Moseley Marshall. She is survived by her children, daughter Keith (Steve Jones); sons Hunter Marshall IV (Sarah) and Charles Marshall, Jr.; and grandchildren, Hunter Marshall V, Margaret Grace Marshall, Courtney Smith and Brooke Smith.
A private service was held for family members.
Memorials may be made in her name to Myers Park Presbyterian Church or Hospice & Palliative Care, Charlotte Region (www.hpccr.org).
The angels proclaimed, “Welcome home, Jean, for a life well-lived.”
There you go, Mom, short and sweet just like you wanted.
