It is with great sadness that the family of Jean Parker Everett announces her peaceful passing on Sunday morning, June 3, 2018 at the age of 95 years.
Jean will be lovingly remembered by her son, Sid Suggs, and her grandson Larry Suggs (Amanda). Jean will also be fondly remembered by the many people she touched through volunteer work with local churches and within her community after retiring as a nurse at Carolina Medical Center, where she met her predeceased husband, Dr. Jesse P. Everett.
During her time with us she also excelled as an artist, working for Walt Disney in California in the early 1940’s and Efird’s Department Store after moving to Charlotte in 1946.
A funeral service in memory of Jean will be held on Thursday, June 7th, 2018 with a closed casket visitation beginning at 10:30 am at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte, NC. A committal service will immediately follow in the Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum.
