Jane Robertson Smith

Jane Robertson Smith passed away on February 6, 2022, at the age of 70 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her husband and daughters, who will do everything they can to honor her loving memory.

Born in Roanoke, Virginia on October 29, 1951, Jane married Charles Smith and had three daughters Kristy, Angie and Amy. She worked at Bank of America for over 40 years before retiring.

Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother “Granny”, sister, and friend who treasured her loved ones. She was the matriarch of the family. She was the bond that held the family together and will keep them together forever. Jane was full of love and kindness, and her light will continue to shine brightly.

As a woman of faith, Jane loved her church and church family at Grace Baptist Church in Mount Holly. She loved traveling, playing games, and working puzzles. Jane and her daughters enjoyed an annual girl’s trip and traveled to many different destinations over the years.

Jane cherished her family and wished nothing but the best for them. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family and friends. Those closest to her are thankful for the extra time that they were given, to spend with her, after she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma nearly five years ago. We know she is now at peace. She may be gone but will never be forgotten and will live on in our hearts forever.

Jane is survived by her husband, Charles; daughters Kristy, Angie and Amy; sister Judy; brother Tom and wife, Sue; grandchildren Corey, Cordell, Jacob, Justin, Kiana and Jesse; son-in-law Jason and daughter-in-law Ashley along with her beloved dog Gracie and several nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ed and Sheila, sister Susan and nephew Scott.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation and gratitude to all the doctors and staff at The Levine Cancer Institute that have supported her along the way.

Graveside service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park on Thursday February 10, 2022 at 11am. Services will be streamed by using https://youtu.be/9uslSOI-u7M.
