James Bolden Jr. was born on August 12, 1949 in Camden, South Carolina. He went home to our Heavenly Father on Sunday August 2, 2015 at the age of sixty-five. James Bolden Jr is survived by his beautiful wife, Queen Esther Bolden, and two beautiful daughters Rasheda Magny and husband John Magny and Jamila Marlene Bolden and husband Pierre Buissereth. He leaves a legacy of three grandsons, Cashmere Amir Buissereth, Mekhi Prince Magny, and Tyler John Magny. He was the second born to his late parents James Bolden and Hattie L Bolden. He is also survived by his older sister Gwendolyn Cox, younger sister Mary Alice Williams, younger brother Jerome Bolden, and younger sister Teresa Griffin. As well as six nieces and one nephew. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.
After graduating high school James moved to Queens, New York, where he met his wife of thirty nine years. James relocated his family to Charlotte, North Carolina, where he resided for over twenty years. He was employed at Carmel Country club until retirement. The center of his life was his wife and daughters. They held the key to his heart. James enjoyed listening to R& B and Soul music. He had a love for football, basketball, baseball, and boxing. Even after relocating to Charlotte his heart was always in New York. Anyone who knew James as a friend knew he was a genuine person and he had lifetime friendships.
What brought James the most happiness was spending time with his grandsons. He shared a special bond with each of them. They brought joy to his life.
