Jacob Paul Garon, 25, of Fort Mill, SC passed unexpectedly on August 30, 2024, moving into his heavenly home. Jacob is now safe in the arms of Jesus, after a lifelong battle with diabetes. Jacob is survived by his family in Fort Mill, SC, father Kevin Paul Garon, mother Lisa Lynn Garon, brothers Jordan Andrew Garon and Joshua Parker Garon, sister Johnniegrace Garon, and his cherished two-year-old daughter, Lila Jayne Garon.
Jacob grew up in Charlotte, NC. He was a great athlete and enjoyed playing basketball, travel baseball, and finally finding his true love in soccer. He was an integral part of his club teams and the South Mecklenburg High School 2015 State Championship soccer team, and had a remarkable corner kick. Jacob earned an AA degree in business from USC-Lancaster and was talented in many areas including art. He had a love of beautiful things including architecture, with a special interest in urban skyscraper and bridge design. He also enjoyed experiential meals and excursions. Jacob was extremely witty, quite charming, and very charismatic, always engaging his customers in the fine dining venue and receiving countless great reviews. Jacob had a special love for children and animals, especially dogs. He was always good with children and grew up helping to orchestrate his younger sister’s birthday parties and working at the YMCA summer camps through high school, becoming well-loved by the children. He was especially loved by his own daughter Lila, who lit up like a star whenever she was with him.
Dedicated as a baby to the Lord Jesus, Jacob professed his faith in Christ as a young boy and was baptized. As a teenager, he again acknowledged Jesus as Lord and again received water baptism. Little did he know that the portion of Philippians 3:13 Bible verse on his high school graduation announcement would bring the hope of heaven to fruition in his life in just a few short years. “…Looking forward with hope to what lies ahead,” has been completely fulfilled in his heavenly homecoming.
Jacob will be dearly missed by all his family and all who ever had an opportunity to know him. And now we will also look forward with hope to what lies ahead as we put our faith in the risen Lord Jesus and wait for the day that he calls our name and we will again see our beloved Jacob. To God be the glory!
Visitation will begin at 10am on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Judah Church located at 12615 Steele Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28273. Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 11am.
