Irene W. Payne

She was born in Madison County, GA and was the daughter of the late Dewey Williamson and Rosa Mae Bales Williamson.

Mrs. Payne retired from Kimbrell’s Funiture Company in Charlotte where she worked as a bookkeeper for 50 years.

Preceding her in death was her beloved husband John Allen Payne, two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her children, John Payne and wife, Sandy, of Lincolnton; Jimmy L. Payne (Jean Miller) of York, SC; grandchildren, Michael Payne, Kimberly Berry, Bobby England, Beth Tice, Mark England and Kristy Payne-Leonard; great grandchildren, David Picklesimer, Ashley Payne, Derrick Picklesimer, Lindsay Payne-Morgan, Cassie England, Dylan Berry, Britton England, Brooke England, Sommer Tice, Brandi Berry, Matthew Barker and Blake Leonard; one expected great-great granddaughter, Arianna Morgan and sister, Gladys Freeman of Athens, Ga.

A graveside service will be held 2:00pm Friday, November 23, 2012 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery with Pastor Ted R. Bost, Jr. officiating. Visitation is prior to the service from 1:00 – 1:45pm at the funeral home.
