A native of Shelby, NC, Mrs. Blanton was born to the late Frank Rollins and Sally Scism Rollins on March 21, 1926. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.D. Lowman in 1974 and second husband, Carl Blanton in 2007.
Mrs. Blanton is survived by her children, Sylvia Ward (Fred) of Huntersville, Myra Lowman of Charlotte; granddaughter, Jeanie Beal (Chris) of Mt. Holly; great-grandchildren, Kara O’Brien, Ashley Beal; sister-in-law, Patsy Lowman Ward of Huntersville and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 4:00pm, Monday, October 22 in the chapel at McEwen Funeral Service, Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Rd., Charlotte. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
