My precious daddy. I miss you  so very much..  When I think about my life growing up, every memory every day there you were being the best daddy anyone could ever ask for. I remember camping at the beach with you and you always dunking me.. I remember you playing your guitar singing to me when I was little.. I remember you coming home from work and bringing me a little princess dress you picked out for me. I remember stumping my toe and sitting on your lap crying and u singing " He Touched Me" and suddenly I was all better. Daddy you also loved me when I was so unlovable. You never once gave up on me. Its no wonder I try to compare any man in my life to you. You are my hero .. I don't think any man could ever fill your shoes. Growing up seeing how you loved your family and your wife well let's just say you truly knew what love truly was. Unconditional love. I wouldn't trade a single moment with you as my daddy growing up. HB and Evelyn always treated us like family...We loved being able to hear him sing at Ranlo. He was such a sweet and humble man. We are going to miss him.

I have always said, if you ever want to see what it's really like to be on fire for the Lord.....just go talk to HB. I never met anyone that spread the flame quite like him, and you never heard him say a bad thing about anyone. We could all learn alot from the life he lived.

I don't know how you thank a man for being a huge part of changing my families life. Thank you doesn't seem like a strong enough word. If it wasn't for your faithfulness to the Lord, for hearing and obeying his voice, my Grandpa Gardner's name may not have been written in the Lambs book of Life. You helped lead him to the Lord. It changed our lives forever. I've known you all my life and never once saw you do anything that wasn't Christlike. You have an amazing family and I know they miss you so much everyday. You and Evelyn worked hard to send your children to Christian school and raised them with the fear and admiration of the Lord. The things you showed them, the way you loved them, the songs you sang, the prayers you prayed will continue on and on for generations. What a legacy. I know you are enjoying heaven!!! Until we meet again...

I have had the privilege of knowing your family ever since I was a little girl. I loved getting to hang out with Cathy and her big brothers when we were young. Thank you for the legacy that you left to all of us. Heaven received a jewel HB when you left this earth to be with our Heavenly Father!!! We will miss you but are grateful you hurt no more!!!

Seems like I've known you forever.  I remember all those choir practices we had at Paw Creek when you led the choir.  Always devoted!  Be sure to give Ken a hug for me.

There is a man that stands taller than most men to me,
He is my friend, my Father, my Dad you see,
When I was a child he was an example to me,
He showed me what a man should be,
The way he treated  my Mom, loving and kindly,
Showed me how to treat the woman God gave me.
He lived a life of dedication to God,
He showed me the path of life to trod.
I remember those times as a child sitting on his knee,
As he read God's Holy Word to me.
He planted a seed that has heights yet to climb,
Because of his teaching I've found acceptance with Christ for all time.
There was a time in my life I strayed from the Way,
I left the path on which I should have stayed.

I could hear his voice saying, "In the ways of this world, peace you will not find."
He taught my brothers, sisters and I well,
He placed in us a desire for heaven and a despite for hell,
He's had to work hard all his life,
To make sure there was food and clothes for his children and his wife.
There have probably been times he thought it was all in vain,
Yet I know one day he shall see it was worth all the pain.
For he has laid up an eternal reward,

I'm not sure how to put my thoughts into words. Papaw, you were a very special man that will always hold a special place in my heart and in many of the people who ever had the honor of knowing you. You left a legacy for your family and all who knew you that will be remembered and followed by many for as long as time goes on. I can't thank you enough for the love and affection and guidance you have given our family. You never missed a thing for me or my kids. You were always there for us no matter how big or small the occasion and always smiling that bright, cheerful smile. You have given me so many memories to cling to that always make me smile and keep you living on in my heart. You never said a bad thing about anyone. Everything about you I will miss so much. Your smile, your singing, your teaching, your silly jokes and teasing, the beach trips we used to take and you dunking us in the ocean and just your presence in everything we did. Now that you are gone there seems to be a memory of you in everything we do, everywhere we go and everything we see. Heaven gained an amazing angel, and I know you are up there on those golden streets singing and worshiping around God's throne that you always preached about. For that I have to smile no matter how much I miss you because I know it is all you longed for and you are finally at peace. I can't even imagine how many souls were saved because of your faithfulness and the love that you showed to everyone you met, and I believe the legacy you left is still ministering to the hearts of many and leading them to salvation which is exactly what you would want. You will forever be missed, and I know we all look forward to seeing you again some day! Love Always.

You were part of my life for over 30 years.  That all started when you gave me the greatest gift I'll ever receive - your daughter.  Many of the best things about her that I fell in love with, I learned she got from her dad.  For that I will always be grateful and indebted to you.  As a son-in-law, I know that, through the years, I gave you many reasons to be angry with or dislike me.  You never showed it.  I noticed.  I hope I can someday measure up to the standard of love and affection you always gave to your family.  Rest in peace dad - your reward is deserved!

It's hard to imagine that you are not here and have gone on to your eternal resting place.  I will miss your humor, you're witty responses, your voice and more.  Sometimes I can still hear how you said my name or how you sounded as you left a message on Tim's voicemail.  We always got such a kick out of that.  I can hear your voice in Tim's voice sometimes, even in some things Nic says.  We can definitely say that you will live on forever.  You are my favorite father-in-law...haha my only father-in-law, you would have liked that one!  Rest easy, tell Granny and Arletta hello for me and look for us as we will see you again one day.  And oh, yea we'll be cheering the Panthers on for you!

Everyday that passes I see that slight smile in the wind. Or I hear that famous saying when a door is open: " SHUT THAT DOOR WAS YOU BORN IN A BARN"? I miss you more each day that passes but at the same time I feel you with me constantly. I will never forget the last night we had together when you hugged me so tight I could lift you off the bed. It was as if you transferred your spirit and said it's time to carry this cross for me a while.
I was watching the panthers play one of there toughest games in the season and they were about to loose till I broke out the secret weapon and put your panthers jersey on with Stewart's name on it. Call it chance or not but he had the best game he has had in years with the most rushing yards of ever seen him run! Chance maybe, but I choose to know you are with us in whatever we need for that moment because you truly have always been there when we needed you. You are the greatest man I will ever know and I believe I will always have a part of you to carry. Until then I will continue to watch the games with your shirt and shout for the team you loved while you shout and sing on the other side.

Papaw, you were more than a grandfather to me, you were like a father. No matter whether it was a birthday sleepover full of little girls or my boot camp graduation, you were always there cheering me on through my entire life. You prayed for me and our entire family for as long as I can remember. You preached to so many people from nursing homes, to homeless people in mcdonalds. You put God first in all things and your family next. You have shown so many people the light that shines through you! I'm so happy that you are in a better place and you suffer no more, but I am sad because I can no longer be with you. I promise that I will see you again though! I love you and miss you so much it hurts. You'll always be in my heart.

I'm sad and happy, sad for our loss but happy that H.B. is singing to the Lord in heaven! Much love and prayers to Sis. Evelyn and the family.

I'm praying for all of you guys. We will all miss you HB but my entire family awaits the time we can see you again. we love you so much! We will keep looking up to see if you're around the gates of Heaven when we get there! And say "Hey to Uncle Winfred and Paul for me too!

What a wonderful man that left such a mark on his family and everyone he met. I'm not sure I've met anyone that was as concerned of your salvation as he was. Praying that the family finds comfort in their faith.

Dear Sister Pressley family, I am so sorry to hear of Brother Pressley's passing. Heaven gained another choir member. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Love all of you, Pauline Barnes & Family.

My earliest memory of Bro. Pressley was of him leading the choir at Paw Creek COG.  And the last time I saw him was when he said that he had to get to God's house.  There he was in his wheelchair with oxygen around his face.  Bro. Pressley out praised most of the people there.  You can tell what kind of man he was by the great legacy he has left behind.  Family, grab that torch and carry it until the Lord calls us home.

H. B. you were a wonderful father-in-law and you will be greatly missed.  Your love for the Lord shone all around you. I wish I had known you longer than I did but the time we did have is very special to me.  I know Heaven is rejoicing having an angel like you singing with Jesus all day long.  Love you and miss you.

Daddy, I know your in the place you have always longed for. Your light is still shining thru everyone of us. Your memory is everywhere I look. Hugh was a very kind man and i always thought a lot of him.i havent seen him in years but i know he was a man of God and i know he is at peace.My prayers are with you all during this difficult time

We will all see him sooner than later that are the redeemed of the Lord! I thank God for his son who got me up from the road in Moore's Park around 40 years ago. That life you saved is now eternal saved so here's a better late than never "Thank You!!!" I know I was different about it then. That "weird" guy died in 1989 for sure. Jesus is my love today. The Pressley family always loves Jesus. You will make it a "Homecoming" celebration.

Your loss is Heavens gain, as I heard my Dad tell families so many times, but those words really don't mean much at this time. The prayers & friends and the Holy Ghost comfortor will help you all through this time. He was a great Man of God and we will all miss him.
