Henry Glenn Hunsucker

Henry Glenn Hunsucker, age 80 of Charlotte died September 6, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital in Huntersville. Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon Friday, September 9, 2011 at Christ United Methodist Church, Reverend Jim Humphries officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery with Military Rites. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the Family Life Center of the Church.

Mr. Hunsucker was born in Catawba County July 19, 1931 son of the late Henry Guy and Mary Catherine Hoke Hunsucker. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the 50 plus Club and had served as an Usher. He graduated from Oxford High School in Claremont, NC, 1949-1952 graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College, attended Kings Business College in 1957, served in the US Army in Korea during the Korean War, member of American Legion Post 353, had taught school in Gastonia, NC and retired from the A. and P. Warehouse.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Betty Love Hunsucker, son, Gary L. Hunsucker and wife, Wendy of Charlotte, sister, Reba Barlow of Salisbury, NC, brother, Ernest Hunsucker of Claremont, NC and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Hunsucker.
