Hedwig Lieberth Dunham

Mrs. Dunham, age 84, of Charlotte passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012.

She was born in Germany the daughter of the late Karl and Anna Lieberth. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, James “Jim” Warren Dunham.

Hedy was a compassionate and kind person who always put others first. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who deeply loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are her daughters, Christa Dunham Wayne and husband Ken, Teresa Dunham Dugger and husband James and Karin Dunham; grandchildren, James Wayne and Margaret Dugger all of Charlotte, NC and Patrick Dugger and Lucy Dugger of Greenville, SC; sister, Thilde Jensen of Eugene, OR; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Matthews United Methodist Church, 801 S. Trade Street, Matthews, NC 28105.

The family would like to thank Becky John, Dr. John and Karen Humphrey and Daniel Wise, MD for their support and care throughout Hedy’s illness.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Western Carolina Division, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
