Harold is the co-owner of Jones Hardware and retired owner of Deluca Test Equipment. He is also retired from the West Mecklenburg Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed camping, fishing and his 1931 Ford hotrod.
Dean is survived by his wife, Susan Wright Matthews; son, Scott Matthews (Natalie); daughters, Linda Bell (Roger), Amanda Baucom (Chad); brother, Kenny Matthews (Gloria); sister, Charlotte Cathey (Edward); 3 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at Forest Lawn West on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 6pm to 9pm.
