Gloria Y. Yandle Harris

A native of Charlotte, Mrs. Harris was born to the late Harry and Louise Yandle on February 12, 1937. She was a member of Hunter Acres Baptist Church where she worked in the church’s food ministry. Mrs. Harris retired from Olan Mills Portrait Studio after more than 20 years of service and was named top sales person in the nation. She is preceded in death by siblings, Sanford Yandle, Bobby Yandle and Janice Deery.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, Ralph E. Harris of Charlotte; by sons, Kevin E. Harris and fiancée Nickie Willis of Charlotte, Phil P. Harris and wife Sherry of Midland; grandsons, Parks and Paul Harris; brothers, Tommy Yandle, Terry Yandle, Harry Yandle, Jr.; sister, Judy Anderson; sisters-in-law, Doris Henderson and husband Richard, Betty Malcolm Yandle and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 1:00pm, Tuesday, November 12 at Hunter Acres Baptist Church, 4520 Heman Dr., Charlotte with Rev Donald Newell and Rev. Sammy Case officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Monday evening at McEwen Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Rd., Charlotte.
