Gladys Pearl Little Rasberry, 97, of Charlotte, entered into rest on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Olde Knox Commons in Huntersville. A native of Wilson County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Lee Roy Little and Pearl Burris Little. Mrs. Rasberry worked for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System and at Central Piedmont Community College where she taught Clothing Construction. She was an expert seamstress. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Jay Rasberry, and two brothers, J.C. Little and Chester Little.
Mrs. Rasberry is survived by four daughters, Peggy Patterson of Charlotte with whom she lived for the past 27 years, Amie Fauts of Between, GA, Janet Daniels of West Columbia, SC, Catherine Walters and husband Jack of Charlotte; by a son, Al Rasberry and wife Carol of Mint Hill, NC; by two brothers, James Little and wife Thyra of Wilson, NC and Eric Little of Cary, NC; and by two sisters, Shirley Galloway of Wilson, NC and Barbara Douglas and husband Harvey of Wilson, NC. Also surviving Mrs. Rasberry is a sister-in-law, Mary Little of Wilson, NC. There are Fourteen Grandchildren, Fourteen Great-Grandchildren and Seven Great-Great-Grandchildren.
A service celebrating the life of Mrs. Rasberry will be held in the Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the interment at Sharon Memorial Park.
