Ms. Rice, 74, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 at her residence. She was born September 1, 1938 in Charlotte, North Carolina, one of four children to the late Earl Kitchner Fincher and Ruby Lee Brank Fincher. She was of the apostolic faith and had worked with Yellow Frieght Trucking Company. Ms. Rice was involved and gave freely to Mission work. The family and friends will gather to visit 2:30 PM until 3:30 PM, Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon. A service to celebrate her life will follow at 3:30 PM, Wednesday from the graveside of Sharon Memorial Park with The Reverend Dr. Chris Baucom officiating. Ms. Rice is survived by her two brothers: David E. Fincher of Knoxville, TN and Darrell K. Fincher of Charlotte, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Slade Rice and brother, Donnie Lee Fincher.
