Geraldine Finney Johnson

Mrs. Geraldine Finney Johnson, 81, of Rock Hill, SC, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Levine Dickson Hospice House. Born September 7, 1934, in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lois Virginia Matthews.

She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She had a passion for shoes and clothes which will be donated to Little Sparrow Ministry in West Virginia. Mrs. Johnson was a dedicated member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Kenneth A. Johnson; daughters, Sharon Lynn Burns and Jennifer Burns Sisk (Steve); grandchildren, Kayla Shoemaker, Forrest Burns, and Zachary Sisk; and father of her children, Jim Burns.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her son, James Michael Burns.

The service to celebrate the life of JJ will be held at 11:00 am Friday, March 11, 2016 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, the Latin American Campus with Reverend John Harrill officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Rock Hill, SC. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
