Gary Lynn Lawson

He was preceded in death by his two children, Caryn and Greg Lawson.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Eileen; his son Jeffrey and wife Crystal Lawson, and his grandchildren Jared, Andon, Calista and Caryn. Also surviving is his brother Denny Lawson and sister Cheryl Hartman, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Gary had many medical challenges over the years and met them with courage and grace.

He was a wonderful husband and a very caring father. He was a gentle man and was slow to lose a temper. His family was his joy. He will be definitely missed by family and friends

He had worked in the pipe fabrication business as a contract administrator. He was a Navy veteran, having served in the Vietnam War

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 2pm at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC where the family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
