Gail Hodge Mullis

Her family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. Thursday at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel. A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 26, at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Born April 23, 1938 in Charlotte, NC, Mrs. Mullis was a daughter of the late James Matthew Hodge and Mattie Hagler Hodge. She enjoyed caring for her family, helping others, working in her yard and canning vegetables. She also enjoyed traveling and listening to music. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mullis was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Alfred Leonard Mullis, and three brothers, Sonny Hodge, Ronnie Hodge and Joe Hodge. Mrs. Mullis was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Mrs. Mullis is survived by her son, Leonard Mullis, Jr. of Wadesboro; daughter, Linda Holston and husband, Mark, of Charlotte; granddaughters, Christine McIntyre and husband, Zack, and Callie Holston, all of Charlotte; brothers, Charlie Hodge and his wife, Barbara, of Charlotte, and Ted Hodge of Indian Trail; sister, Kay Harmon of Concord; sister-in-law, Emily Lowder and her husband, Johnny, of Mint Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
