Gail Diane Martin

Gail Diane was loving and loyal. She was always on a mission to organize an event, find the perfect decoration or bargain shop at her favorite stores. She loved to sing, play games with family and friends and spend time with the people that she loved.

Diane was raised in Cramerton, NC and was married to the love of her life, Jerry in 1977. They then lived in Charlotte, NC; Lynchburg, VA and then returned to be near family to Gastonia, NC.

Diane was born to the late Carl William and Ruth Louise McDonald on March 31, 1947.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Sheila Yokeley; her brother, Danny McDonald and her precious pups, Molly and Marley Martin.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband, Jerry Charles Martin; her children, Michael Todd Martin and Melissa Martin Schlee; her precious pup, Oliver Martin; her grandchildren, Brady MacKenzie Torrance, Michael Chase Martin and Charles Logan Torrance; her siblings, Katrina Callahan, Ricky McDonald and Kathy Costner and a host of sister and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Please join us in celebrating her life, Monday, November 27, 2023. Visitation and the service will be held at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, located at 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, North Carolina. Visitation to begin at 1pm followed by a memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, her husband, Jerry is asking that donations be made to their favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Diane's name. The family would also like to recognize the many wonderful nurses at CaroMont Regional Medical Center for the wonderful care that was given to Diane during her stay in the CVICU. We will forever be grateful for your compassion.
