Gail was born on October 1, 1947, to the parents Reuben and Sarah Russell. She graduated from East Mecklenburg High School and attended Queens College.
She married Robert Alexander and together they had three children, Mary, Jennifer and Robert, Jr. She was overjoyed when she welcomed three grandchildren and five great grandchildren into the family. Gail was a proud member of the Cabarrus County Black Boys DAR and Rocky River Presbyterian Church.
Gail is survived by her husband, Robert E. Alexander; children, Mary Alexander, Jennifer A. Gold and Robert E Alexander, Jr.; and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation for Gail will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Rocky River Presbyterian Church, 7940 Rocky River Rd, Concord, NC 28025, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
