Fred Wilson Wallace Jr.

Born in Mecklenburg County on December 11, 1947, Fred graduated from East Meck. High School in 1966. He proudly served his Country as a Military Policeman for the US Army during Vietnam. After serving his Country, Fred retired, last year, from Management in the Grocery business.

He was survived by his children, son, Fred William Wallace, daughter, Patricia Wallace Kellis and her husband, Kelly Kellis, was perviously married to Jennie Funderburk; grandchildren, Karissa Dianne Kellis and Kourtney Denise Kellis; parents, Sue M. Wallace and the late, Fred Wilson Wallace, Sr.; brothers and sisters, Barbara W. Stewart, Helen Wallace, Terry D. Wallace, the late Mickie Wallace, and the late Dick Wallace.

Fred’s family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill, with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Amity Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Charlotte, where Fred will be laid to rest with military honors.
