He was born February 13, 1941 in Springfield, MA, the son of Frank Saverio Mancuso and Helen Dasco Mancuso. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1962 and entered the Peace Corps, serving for two years in Ecuador. Upon his return he settled into a career with the Massachusetts Department of Welfare, and worked at various locations throughout the state.
Frank was a lifelong member of Second Congregational Church in Palmer, MA, where he served in many capacities and sang in the choir for more than fifty years.
The joy of Frank’s life was his family. He took great pleasure in his sons and grandchildren, and loved attending their various activities. Frank also enjoyed nature immensely; he was an avid gardener, bird watcher, hiker, and mushroom hunter.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marjorie Ann (Brown) Mancuso, whom he loved dearly, calling her the best wife a man could ever hope to have. He is also survived by two sons, Marc Mancuso (Anik) of Charlotte and Paul Mancuso (Jennifer) of Elkhorn, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Lydia, Michael and Gabriel Mancuso of Charlotte, Riley Mancuso of Lafayette, Colorado, and Nicholas Mancuso of Elkhorn, Nebraska; and three siblings, Tom Mancuso of Melbourne, Florida, Dan Mancuso of Chireno, Texas, and Pamela DiLorenzo of Australia.
A service to celebrate Frank’s life will be held August 28, 2022 at 2:00pm at McEwen Funeral Service - Pineville, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC The family will receive friends following the service.
