Frances Wagoner Satterfield

'Fran'

Mrs. Satterfield, 84, of Charlotte, NC, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC.

She was born October 18, 1927 in Roxboro, North Carolina, one of six children to the late Patsy Mae Wagoner and Elliott Wagoner. Fran, as she was affectionately known, was a graduate of UNC Greensboro. She was a member of Carmel Baptist Church where she was a member of the David Trammell Bible Class. Fran loved to sew, cook and garden and raised an outstanding family whom she loved dearly. Words to sum up her life would be faith, family, love, kindness and courage.

The Satterfield family will greet friends 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 22, 2012, at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon. A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, March 23, 2012, at Carmel Baptist Church with The Reverend Dr. Don Bouldin officiating. Private entombment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Mrs. Satterfield is survived by her beloved husband, George Satterfield, Sr.; her three children, George Satterfield, Jr. and wife, Debbie; Dr. Steve Satterfield and wife, Susan and Trish Satterfield Zoldowski and husband, Mark; four grandchildren, Alex and Emily Satterfield and Ryan and Evan Zoldowski. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister and brothers: Hazel Brown, Alton Wagoner, Curt Wagoner, Benny Wagoner and Billy Wagoner.
