Frances was born on July 9. 1944. A lifelong resident of Steele Creek, she was a part of the first class to go through all grades at South Mecklenburg High School. After graduation, she was hired by Jefferson Standard Insurance Company in Charlotte. She worked as an Insurance Administrator there, and later with Insurance Concepts and with Gallagher Benefits Services, retiring in 2011.
On March 5, 1977, she married Floyd Oren Campbell, her loving husband of 22 years. While they had no children together, they did have some very well-fed cats. She loved music, playing the piano, as well as being a part of the Handbell Choir at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church. She loved to watch tennis and figure skating on television and , loved animals (except the slithery kind).
Frances was a lifelong member of Steele Creek Presbyterian Church, where she served on numerous committees over the years, and taught Sunday School before she was married. She loved to knit, and knitted baby blankets and hats which were given to charity.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Otto Brown and Billie Bigham Brown, her sister Libby White McGloughlin, and her husband, Floyd Campbell. She is survived by her stepdaughter Melinda Campbell, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
