Floyd Ellis Griffin Jr.

Mr. Griffin retired from Bell South after 34 years of service and was a veteran of the Army.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Faye Hileman Griffin, mother, Claudia Merritt Griffin; son, Dan Griffin and wife Traci; daughter, Angela Griffin Hester and husband, Jeff; step-daughters, Carol Williams and Angela Childs; grandchildren, Tyler Guess, Luke Childs, Austin Guess, Nicholas Childs, Cameron Williams, Maya Griffin and Chase Griffin; sister, Bonnie Richmond.

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd E. Griffin, Sr. and brother Terry Griffin.

Funeral services for Mr. Griffin will be held at 12:00pm Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Forest Lawn West Chapel with Pastor Mike Barefield officiating. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
