Evelyn Christenbury Middleton

Mrs. Middleton, age 91 of Charlotte passed away Sunday February 22, 2015 at Harris Hospice Unit of Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. She was born July 2, 1923 in Cabarrus County daughter one of seven children of the late Walter W. and Esther Blackman Christenbury. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Hazel W. Middleton in 2010. Mrs. Middleton was a homemaker and a charter and active member of Craig Avenue ARP Church and the Red Hatters Club. The family will receive friends Tuesday February 24, 2015 from 12 to 1:00 P. M. at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel 5716 Monroe Rd. Charlotte, NC 28212 followed by a service at 1:00 P. M. in the funeral home chapel conducted by Reverend Dick Shaw. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Survivors are; two daughters, BillieM. Goodman, Becky M. Demby and husband Jack, two sons; Robert W. Middleton and wife Pat, Jeff L. Middleton and wife Kathy, 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and also a special friend Pam A. Hollifield and husband Scott Montgomery. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Wilora Lake Lodge, and the Cove and Harris Hospice Unit of Presbyterian Hospital.
