Strong-willed and tough, mom graced us with 85 treasured years. Eva Campbell, "Evva-Lou" to her relatives, was a selfless person who always put her family first. She was a loving, simple and practical woman, yet extremely creative, feisty, and very fun ...the list goes on. She had an infectious cackle of a laugh that no one could resist joining in on. She had a sense of humor and way of telling a story that compelled us all to surround her in wonder and laughter. She was molded by family of strong character, love and friendship who have been dedicated in their faith in God and His plan. Eva was a painter and lover of nature. She captivated us with the beauty of life in her paintings eternalized in her unmistakable style. They are a priceless legacy that surrounds us in warm memory. Above all...she always said and all knew, "She cared." She was a genuine soul. She now resides in her true heavenly home with loved ones and well-deserved peace.
Eva will be missed by her Son, Vincent Campbell of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Suzanne Campbell of Charlotte, NC; Suzanne's boyfriend, David Lynn of Lincolnton, NC; sister, Maxine Hill and brother-in-law, James Hill of Winston-Salem, NC; brother-in-law, Joe Campbell and his wife, Marie of Greensboro, NC; and her cherished, furry grand-doggie, Moxy Campbell of Charlotte, NC.
The funeral service will be held 2:00p.m., Sunday, January 25 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd, Charlotte. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
