Ethel Duncan, age 92 of Charlotte passed away February 4, 20l5. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Monday, February 9th in the Paul Helton Chapel at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior (10-11AM). Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Mrs. Duncan was born in Charlotte March 13, 1922, taught Y. M. W. B. children’s church, was a graduate of Long Creek High School where she participated in basketball, was formerly associated with Hudson Hosiery, Sears, Harris-Hart, Chick-Fil-A and Kings Drug Store. Surviving children, Devonne Smith of Monroe, Edward Duncan of Concord, NC, Dennis Duncan of Charlotte, Cyndi Deese of Richburg, SC and Gary Duncan of Monroe, NC. fourteen grand and sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Dora Christenbury Vanderburg, husband, Austin Duncan, son, Edward Duncan and three brothers and four sisters.
