Not only was Erin an enchanting child who grew to be a startling gorgeous woman, she brought beauty to life as a gifted artist. She filled spaces with vibrant and stunning paintings, inspired by both nature and her own wondrous imagination.
Due to her own health concerns, Erin knew that a healthcare setting could be challenging place. So she trained as a phlebotomist as a way to bring laughter, comfort, and ease to patients - especially the little ones.
Erin was always a natural with children; they adored her. She taught classes of kids to swim and was a strong advocate for water safety.
We are thankful that our Erin traveled the world, lived life on her terms, loved generously, suffered no fools, and laughed easily. A zealous Cubs fan - who made several primages to Wrigley Field - Erin passed away on the first day of the Cubs training season; we think she wanted a better view.
Our love for Erin is everlasting, and we know she has been joyously welcomed to the kingdom of Heaven.
Holding her dear memory close are her parents Ron and Tara Burns; her brother Patrick and his wife Kacie; her sister Meghan and her husband Peter and their daughter Scarlett; her grandfather Kevin Gannon; her best friend Jenn Lyon; as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Raad, who has cared for Erin for the past two decades.
Per Erin's wishes, there will be no memorial service. Those wishing to honor her memory may make a donation to HelpHeart.org ~ or simply strive not to be a horse's ass.
