Emily "Priscilla" Schmidt of Charlotte passed away on January 5, 2022. She was born on March 5, 1940 in Clemson, SC.
Priscilla worked in retail starting at Belk downtown, opening the Belk South Park location then retiring from Ivey's/Dillard's department store.
Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents George Dewey and Anna P. Sears; husband Carl W. Schmidt, Jr.; son Carl W. Schmidt, III. She is survived by her sister Aretha S. King; daughter Donna Cherry; granddaughter's Melanie Cherry and fiancé Tyler Wicks, Andrea Bulkley and fiancé Brian Venner; grandson Joshua Schmidt and wife Jennifer; great grandchildren Jayme and Andrew Bulkley, Joshua, Jacob and Julie Schmidt.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 13th beginning at 1pm at Providence United Methodist Church, 2810 Providence Road, Charlotte. Funeral Service will follow at 2pm. Interment will take place at Sharon Memorial Park.
Arrangements are under the care of McEwen Funeral Service, Charlotte Chapel.
