Elma Duncan Branch of Charlotte, NC entered into rest on Monday, August 25, 2014 at home. Born March 2, 1936 in Matthews, NC, Mrs. Branch was a daughter of the late Sadie Elizabeth Hinton and Johnson William Duncan.
Elma retired from AT&T and was very involved at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
In addition to her parents, Elma was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 45 years Julian Howard Branch as well as 3 brothers.
She is survived by her 2 sons Daniel McGuirt and David McGuirt; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, August 29, 2014 with a service following at 2:00 PM all at McEwen Funeral Service’s Charlotte Chapel, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte. Burial will follow in Sharon Memorial Park’s Singing Tower Garden.
