Elizabeth W. Thompson

A retired seamstress, she enjoyed reading the daily news and especially liked her Southern Living. She was an avid gardener with a "green thumb" who loved growing and grooming anything that had blooms.

Always loved, Elizabeth "Boots" will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her children and their families. Daughters, Diane Hager (Ed Guyton) of High Point, North Carolina, and Mrs. Jan Evans (Jerry) of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Mrs. Shera Dieth-Congdon (Chris) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Captain Jared E. Evans USAF-Utah, and Mrs. Jenna McLeod (Eric) of Raleigh, North Carolina; three great-grandchildren; and also William E. Hager of Huntersville, North Carolina.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, David W. Thompson, son, David Joel Thompson, and grandson, Forrest Edward Hager.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at 2:00pm at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, North Carolina 28227. Friends and family visitation will be from 1:00-2:00pm. Interment will follow the funeral service in Sunset Memory Gardens.
