Elizabeth Daly Kennedy

Born in Gatineau, Quebec, daughter of the late Louise Plunkett and Joseph Daly, she grew up in Breckenridge, Quebec. She and Thomas raised their family and moved to Charlotte, NC. Bess began her accounting career with Aetna Life Insurance Co. Upon retiring, she and Thomas spent 15 summers in Farrellton on the banks of the Gatineau River.

Bess enjoyed watching various sporting events, camping, playing cards, reading, knitting and socializing with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Olive, Rita (Allan), Kathleen (Clarence), Eileen (Edwin), Marg (Ernie) and Teresa (Frank).

Mrs. Kennedy is survived by two sons, Bobby (Dina), and Larry (Beth), four daughters, Susanne Kennedy, Catherine Perry (Rex), Faye Lilieholm (Bill), Joan Jeans (Herb), ten grandchildren, Jennifer Cecile, Erin Goodson, Andrew Perry, Chris and Kelly Lambert, Eric and Sean Kennedy, Jake Lilieholm, Katie Jeans, Renee Leganzon and seven great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas James Kennedy.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday April 12, 2024 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Fr. Raymond Ekosse officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM, with a Mass to follow. Inurnment in the church columbarium will follow at a later date.
