Elizabeth Greth

Elizabeth was born September 6th, 1958 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Louise Cornell and Robert Greth Sr. She graduated from Garinger HS in 1976 and continued on to be a dedicated and loyal employee of First Union National Bank. Elizabeth was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in her early twenties. She bravely battled MS for over 33 years, never once complaining of her illness or lot in life. She loved to garden, paint still-life watercolors and cross-stitched elaborate cross-stitch patterns. Elizabeth had a friendly, gentle nature about herself. She loved to quiz friends and family members on music and TV trivia. She often recounted cherished family memories with everyone who visited her.

Elizabeth is survived by her only daughter Melissa Greth Blackwell and two grand-daughters Lilly and Ada Blackwell.

Four brothers: Ed Greth (wife Sandy), Robert Greth II (wife Debra), Michael Greth (wife Debbie) and Christopher Greth (wife Okhui).

Two nieces: Kristen Cline (husband Donovan) and Nicole White (husband James).

Three nephews: Robert Greth III (wife Scarlet), Neil Greth and Sean Greth.

Uncle: Archie Greth (wife Dot).

Aunt: Nancy Kirkpatrick (husband Tommy).

Cousins: Debbie Kirkpatrick, Charlie Yerger and Lynne Neal.

In addition to at least a dozen great nieces, nephews and second cousins.

A memorial service to celebrate her life is to be held at the McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park Chapel

Thursday at 7:00 PM, visitation with the family to follow. Pastor Tom Tate of Plaza Presbyterian Church will preside over the service.
